The valve stem of the globe valve is generally rotated and lifted, and the handwheel is fixed on the top of the valve stem. When the handwheel is rotated clockwise, the thread of the valve stem is screwed down, the sealing surface of the disc is in close contact with the sealing surface of the valve seat, and the globe valve is in a closed state; when the handwheel is rotated counterclockwise, the thread of the valve stem is screwed up, and the disc is closed. The sealing surface is separated from the sealing surface of the valve seat, and the globe valve is opened.

Operating characteristics of globe valve
The sealing form of the jis 10k globe valve is forced sealing. When the valve is closed, sufficient force must be applied to the valve disc, and the sealing must be above the specific pressure to achieve sealing. Since the sealing force and the medium pressure are on the same axis, when the medium enters from the lower part of the valve disc (low in and high out), because the medium pressure is in the opposite direction to the sealing force, the closing torque of the valve is much greater than the opening torque, and the valve stem bears a large amount of pressure. The stress is compressive stress, so it must have sufficient strength and rigidity, otherwise the valve stem will deform flexibly. Installation flow direction must follow the flow arrow and approved drawing for the selected globe valve. Confirm differential pressure, shutoff duty and the operating arrangement; nominal size alone does not establish the correct direction or operating torque.
